I came to NewLeaf from the wine industry where I dabbled in viticulture research between tastings. Now, when not doggedly investigating plant-microbe associations, I can usually be found on my bicycle, sonically invading my neighbors with late night violin playing fits or standing in a river frightening fish. My primary responsibilities at NewLeaf include clearing the snack bar of pistachios by no later than Thursday each week, chairing the too-late-in-the-season-stocking-cap-wearers committee (TLITSSCWC), and serving as Ling’s assistant taste-tester. I’m also a plant biologist.
